With 16 elements in 13 groups, the optical system features a multitude of high-tech and high-end components, including three FLD glass elements, two SLD glass elements, and two aspherical molded glass elements

This optical system minimizes optical aberrations and ensures outstanding resolution at wide aperture and throughout the aperture range

In particular, the two aspherical lens elements have very high precision surfaces, which minimizes the bokeh effect produced by some aspherical elements and ensures clear image quality throughout the frame.

From the beginning of the design process, SIGMA measured flashes and ghosting to establish an optical design resistant to strong incident light sources such as backlight.

SIGMA’s super multi-layer coating helps further reduce flare and glare and provides crisp, high-contrast images, even in backlight conditions

The included sunshade can be connected to block stray light, avoiding a negative effect on the result
