The Tamron 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 is the world’s first lens for APS-C mirrorless cameras with a 16.6x zoom ratio, the biggest feature of this lens, covering wide-angle at an ultra-telephoto range (full-frame equivalent from 27mm to 450mm). With this wide coverage, the lens allows shooting in a wide variety of situations, including everyday life and wide-angle travel photos, ultra dynamic telephoto and macro photography. Its AF drive system uses Tamron VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor autofocus mechanism for superior silence and agile performance in fixed and video modes. The lens includes special optical elements precisely arranged to maintain high-resolution edge-to-edge performance and provide high image quality, making it the best of all-in-one zoom lenses. Plus, with a MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 5.9″ to 18mm, and a remarkable maximum magnification ratio of 1:2, this lens performs surprisingly well when shooting closely. This lens is equipped with Tamron’s patented VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism, effectively reducing image blur caused by camera shake in low light conditions or in the ultra-telephoto range at slower shutter speeds.
